I'm Mike. I'm a husband, a father, and a man obsessed with drones. I live in a typical suburb with highly atypical neighbors, and have spent several years flying just about everything you can get in the air and control with a radio signal. After my wife and kids, drones are my life. Well, my wife would disagree with the order there, but I'm writing this blog, Jen!I retired early some years ago, which is a fancy way of saying that I quit working for The Man so I could have more time to build, test, buy, and fly drones. When I'm not spending time with family, you'll find me either tinkering in my garage, out on the roof, or way out in the middle of nowhere flying something too fast, too far, and too high to be sane.
My buddies and I built drones before they were called drones, and now that the public is catching onto how amazing these things can be, I figured it was time to share some of the knowledge I've gained over the last few decades of flight. You'd be amazed at the kinds of things people will do in their backyards when they don't think you're flying a drone above yours. As a result, this blog will also be about some of the stranger things I've learned about human nature.
Besides writing a lot of reviews about drones, I also write about current issues involving drones in the news, as well as provide advice on flying and on support equipment for drones.
